Kim Van Herck graduated from KU Leuven in 2008 (Master of Laws). During her training, she also studied for six months at the University of Orléans, France, as part of the Erasmus programme. During her studies she gained experience in the legal profession at the bar through summer internships at the offices of Loyens & Loeff (Antwerp – Corporate Law, Mergers & Acquisitions) and Baker & McKenzie (Brussels – Banking & Finance). Driven by her passion for corporate law, she obtained her degree of Master in Corporate Law at the Hogeschool-Universiteit of Brussels in 2009.
She was called to the Leuven Bar in 2009, practicing with Curia and she also stood at the cradle of intui in 2013.
She advises on various aspects of corporate and non-profit law and also assists clients in legal proceedings on these topics. In addition, she also has wide experience in assisting in various transactional cases, in particular M&A and real estate transactions.
Kim handles cases in Dutch, English and French.
She regularly speaks at seminars on various topics relating to corporate law.
