Olivier Roodhooft, junior associate

Olivier Roodhooft graduated in 2019 from K.U. Leuven as Master of Laws, where he specialized in private and economic law . During his master, he was enrolled in the Research Master, which was organised in cooperation with Tilburg University.

In September 2019, Olivier joined Intui. After one year he temporarily left the firm to work as a full time PhD assistant at the institute for Commercial and Insolvency law at KU Leuven where he prepared a doctoral dissertation under the supervision of prof. Joeri Vananroye. In June 2024, he defended his PhD on abuse of exclusion and withdrawal remedies in private companies and obtained the degree of Dr. Iur. After his PhD defence, he remains associated with the institute on a voluntary basis.

Olivier rejoined the Intui team on full-time basis in October 2024 where works in the litigation team. He has a specific expertise in shareholder disputes and exclusion/withdrawal of shareholders.

Olivier is a regular speaker on conferences and seminars and he published multiple scientific publications on company law. He is also a member of the Belgian Center for Company Law.

Olivier handles cases in Dutch, English and French.
